Music video conventions

Music videos tend to use a range of different camera shots this includes long,meduim and close up shots. These are used to show the artists the different settings and continue the narratives. The camera often follows or tracks the artist during the video. The rise-en-scene of the video depends on the gene of music as this effects the costume,setting, makeup etc of the video and how the performer is presented. Jump cuts are often heavily used in music videos to cut between the different shots. fades and dissolves are also commonly used.

3rd digipak

This digipak has a very simple colour scheme that has a black and white theme running through it. It has a vey simple scheme that does not include any images of the artists. This shows that the band is ore about the music than it is about its image. It uses a scheme o fonts which are very simple but are very bold as to what the are saying. 

2nd Digipak analysis

This digipak uses a very simplistic approach as it uses very few things to promote the artist and mainly sticks to using images of the singer in the band face as she is the main part in the band that people are likely to know. The Cd is also very simplistic with it being just a plain Cd with the artist name and album name written on it. 

Digipak Example

This digipak shows the plans for a Lana Del Ray digipak and uses a very simplistic approach to the digipak.it uses very few images and the only image really is the one of her face which i to attract the audience who recognise the artist. The Cd has roses on it to connote the idea of love which is a theme through many of her songs. It also uses very simplistic fonts.

Digipak first draft

This is the first draft of the front cover of my digipak. After showing and getting feedback on this is have decide to change the design and images on the front cover of the digipak. I have decided to go fro brighter images rather than the drake night time images. 

 I wanted to use a brighter picture which included the neon lights. s i have decided to change and edit this as i fell that my first draft of the track listing did not fit with my idea of the artist and so i have decided to complete change this design. 

Shoot 1

Today we decided to film the first chorus of the song. We decided to film against a white background whilst using light filters to create different lights on the background. The light filters created shadows and different light on the face. We also used a machine which had different coloured lights alongside the light filters.
